Kris Mendoza is an award-winning film/videomaker and photographer serving the NY/NJ/PA area. He graduated from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA in Film & Television. He has produced and directed a handful of short films under his production company, Maestro Filmworks. His work has been screened at numerous film festivals and his film The Leak was a finalist in the 2007 International Asian American Film Festival's 72 Hour Film Contest.
After a brief stint as a video producer/editor in the hustle and bustle of Corporate America, he left to pursue his own ventures. To compliment his photography business, he currently runs his own video production company, namely Kreative Mediaworks, specializing in corporate and commercial videos.
Kris likes to describe his style of photography as "modern with a retro flavor." At a very early age, Kris was surrounded by photo and video equipment thanks to his father's hankering for documenting every waking second of his childhood. Kris attributes his geeky/techy side to this and it is the reason that he aims to produce and deliver timeless images for people to look back on for years and years to come -- for it's true that the faintest of ink (or in this day in age, pixels!) is stronger than the sharpest memory. His photographic work has been published in a few online and print publications, such as Photo Pro, Schmap, And Lightstalker, to name a few.
Kris is an active member of the Professional Photographers of America (PPA) and SPAA (Sports Photographer's Association of America) and is a regular freelance photographer for Brightroom and ASI.
When not behind the camera, he enjoys running, competing in triathlons, watching movies, traveling, and eating.
